LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — Senior golfer from Texas, Bohyun Park, seized the folded flag trophy after winning the Patriot All-America Invitational at Wigwam Golf Club on Tuesday.

Park recorded scores of 67-65-63, finishing with a 15-under-par total and a four-shot triumph.

“It feels fantastic to be in the circle once more,” Park expressed. “It has taken me a considerable amount of time to get to this point, and it’s rewarding to see all the effort bearing fruit while simply trusting the journey.”

Having shared the lead after 36 holes, Park maintained dominance on the Blue Course for the third consecutive day, delivering a 7-under 63 with eight birdies and one bogey during the concluding round.

“I focused on being present, approaching it without any expectations, adhering to my routine, and presenting the best version of myself,” Park remarked.

The Longhorns had a total of six participants in the event. Selina Liao finished in 11th place at 5-under. Angela Heo ended T18 at 2-under, and Tiffany Cao concluded T26 at even par.

The Patriot All-America Invitational showcases PING All-Americans from the last season across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA; along with 2022 First Team All-America Seniors from AJGA and other specially invited guests. This 54-hole amateur competition is recognized as the first of its kind to bring together the talents of 156 nationally esteemed male and female golfers simultaneously at a single event.

Organized through a collaboration involving the GCAA, WGCA, the West Valley Mavericks, The Patriot All-America LLC, and the Arizona Golf Association, The Patriot All-America pays tribute to fallen or severely wounded soldiers and first responders in partnership with the Folds of Honor Foundation. At the event’s opening ceremony, golfers receive a golf bag provided by PING Corporation, emblazoned with the name and branch of service of a fallen or injured military member they are representing. Participants also obtain a card that shares the soldier’s story to familiarize themselves with that individual. Following the event, the golf bags are sold by the golfers’ respective colleges or universities, with proceeds going to Folds of Honor to aid the affected families. Thunderbolt players will also represent Folds of Honor soldiers and First Responders, with biographies attached to their bags.
