“Home for the Holidays: Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce Unveils Travel Stipends in Festive Initiative”

Yorktown, Va. (December 9, 2024) Sailors assigned to diverse tenant commands at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown gather for a group picture after being granted substantial travel stipends through the Great Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce’s Home for the Holidays Campaign. This initiative provides holiday travel stipends for service personnel with assignments at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center-Yorktown and Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. In 2024, a total of $27,000 was gathered from generous contributions by individuals and groups in the Virginia Peninsula, which allowed stipends to be granted to every service member who applied that year.
