Rockville’s Rocktobierfest Returns Sept. 27 with German Music, Meals & Enjoyable

Rockville’s Oktoberfest-style occasion returns on the finish of the month to rejoice German tradition.

Rocktobierfest began eight years ago as an anniversary celebration of Rockville’s relationship with its German sister metropolis, Pinneberg. The free competition has continued yearly since then, however the relationship dates again to 1957. That’s when the City of Rockville shaped a proper Sister City relationship with Pinneberg, “making it one of the most enduring sister city relationships in the world,” in accordance with Rockville’s Sister Cities Corporation.

The competition will likely be held Saturday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to five p.m. alongside Maryland and East Montgomery avenues. The roads round that intersection will likely be closed to site visitors for the occasion.

Two music levels will function Bavarian sounds and conventional German tunes. One stage is on Maryland Avenue and the opposite is on East Montgomery Avenue. Both will function three bands.

There will likely be quite a lot of meals together with German sausages similar to bratwurst, together with drinks from native breweries, together with 7 Locks Brewing, Clear Skies Meadery, Lone Oak Farm Brewing, and Third Hill Brewing. There will even be artisans promoting their items.
