George Masa Foundation 2026 Youth Conservation Photography Prize Exhibition

Presented by the George Masa Foundation, this exhibition options the 30 winners of the 2026 Youth Conservation Photography Prize, chosen from two age teams, 11 to 14 and 15 to 18. The program invitations younger folks from throughout the nation to discover and categorical their connection to the pure world via images. Inspired by the legacy of George Masa, whose photographs helped shield the Southern Appalachians, these pictures replicate cautious commentary, inventive imaginative and prescient, and a rising consciousness of the landscapes, waters, and wildlife that form our lives.
We are grateful to the North Carolina Arboretum for graciously internet hosting and displaying this work, and to our judges, Grace Clark and Travis Bordley, for his or her considerate evaluation and assist of those younger photographers. Our mission is to encourage younger folks to be like George Masa; paying consideration, telling significant tales, and creatively going through the environmental challenges of their technology.
