Graduate Assistant – Swimming & Diving in Aberdeen, SD for Northern State University

The Graduate Assistant for Swimming & Diving will help the teaching workers in all elements of the Northern State University Swimming & Diving program. Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing swim exercises, dry-land conditioning applications, and energy and conditioning actions.
• Assist with teaching throughout all practices, together with in-season and out-of-season coaching periods.
• Organize and facilitate dry-land conditioning applications.
• Assist with stroke evaluation, swimming method instruction, and harm prevention initiatives.
• Coach at competitions by aiding with race preparation, timing splits, video evaluation, and different meet-related teaching duties.
• Implement and oversee examine desk procedures and monitor student-athlete tutorial progress.
• Assist with swim meet operations
• Assist with pool scheduling and coordination with different athletic applications and facility customers.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s diploma required and acceptance right into a Northern State University Graduate Program
• Strong management, communication, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Competitive swimming and/or diving background.
• Swimming and/or diving teaching expertise.
• Knowledge of dry-land energy and conditioning applications.
• Understanding of harm prevention ideas.
• Knowledge of stroke evaluation and swimming method instruction.
