It is with deep disappointment that we share the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, Dorothy Ruby Richard, who left us on May 26, 2026, on the age of 26, in Sunnyside,  Belledune NB, at our dwelling.

She was the daughter of Susan Furlotte and Ricky Richard. Dorothy is survived by her greatest accomplishment in life, brightest gentle in her life, her most cherished daughter, Addison, brothers Marcel (Cindy) and Thomas ( Alyson). Grandparents June and James Furlotte, Ann and (late Archie) Richard. She additionally leaves behind her loving nephews Hudson, Wesley, and Reed, whom she liked very a lot. Godmother May Mallaley ( Nannie) and her bonus Mere and Pere who liked her dearly. 

Dorothy, a BHS graduate, in 2017 was employed with Amy’s Quality Home Care, Lorne NB, as a Personal Support employee (PSW). She loved working along with her shoppers and studying about life from their perspective as they have been primarily aged individuals. Older nursery rhymes and songs to share along with her Addison. How to make jams and jellies. She was perfecting bread making and fairly pleased with it. She loved studying about what Jacquet River, and environment space as soon as appeared like 75 years in the past. There was a steadiness between her and them. 

Dorothy was energetic in her church as an alter server for St Gaberiel’s parish, she was a member of the Girl Guide of Canada and a member of Junior Achievement (JA) throughout highschool. She was volunteer at Restigouche County SPCA, Relay for all times and volunteering beside her mom with no matter she occurred to be collaborating in, and there have been many. 

Her presence on this world was a present to all who knew her, and her absence is felt profoundly by these whose lives she touched and liked. Dorothy will spend her everlasting days resting along with her particular aunt Tammy, who liked her dearly. 

A personal funeral service has taken place for Dorothy. Care entrusted by MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
