BLM Advances Travel Management Planning Throughout Utah with Three Initiatives

SALT LAKE CITY – The Bureau of Land Management is advancing journey administration planning efforts for motor vehicle entry in three subject places of work throughout Utah, issuing preliminary alternate options and in search of public enter on plans that collectively cowl greater than 816,000 acres of public lands.

Trail Canyon Travel Management Plan

The Kanab Field Office has launched a draft environmental evaluation for the Trail Canyon Travel Management Plan, overlaying roughly 326,376 acres in Kane County. The plan would designate 469 miles of present routes as open, restricted, or closed for off-highway automobile use throughout 182,766 acres of BLM-managed public lands. A 30-day public remark interval runs June 22 via July 22, 2026. The Vernal Field Office has launched a draft environmental evaluation for the Dinosaur North Travel Management Plan, overlaying roughly 344,822 acres in northern Uintah and japanese Daggett counties. The plan would designate roughly 700 miles of present routes as open, restricted, or closed for off-highway automobile use throughout 223,616 acres of BLM-managed lands. A 30-day public remark interval runs June 22 via July 23, 2026.
