ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Fun Spot Atlanta in Fayetteville will shut Aug. 2, the park’s operators introduced Thursday.

Fun Spot America has two extra places in Orlando, Florida, and Kissimmee, Florida. Those places are set to stay open. Park passes and reward playing cards can be honored at Fun Spot Atlanta by Aug. 2, after which can be honored on the Orlando and Kissimmee places.

“This was an extremely difficult decision,” stated John Arie Jr., chief government officer of Fun Spot America. “Our Atlanta team has poured their hearts into serving our guests and creating a place where families could have fun together. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and for the support we have received from the Fayetteville community.”

Fun Spot Atlanta started as Fun Junction USA earlier than being purchased by its present operators in 2017. The park’s signature curler coaster, ArieDrive One, opened in 2023 and shortly grew to become acknowledged as top-of-the-line coasters within the U.S.

The metal coaster received the Golden Ticket Award for Best New Attraction Installation in 2023 and was ranked as one of many 25 greatest metal coasters on the planet in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
