Upper Delaware River Area Photography Contest Introduced

UPPER DELAWARE RIVER REGION, PA AND NY – The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is happy to announce its ninth annual juried photograph contest for the Upper Delaware River area, open to skilled and novice photographers. “Confluence: Land, Water, Wildlife” invitations photographers to seize hanging nature images in 5 classes: panorama, wildlife, macro, water, and the Van Scott Nature Reserve, plus a youth class for photographers beneath age 18. Without disturbing or harming any creature or its habitat, photographers are inspired to be artistic in showcasing the various wildlife, vegetation, and particular locations of our area.

Photos might be judged on creativity, originality, composition, readability and high quality, and influence, and have to be taken within the Upper Delaware River area to be eligible. Photos could also be taken throughout any season.

Photographers could submit entries through the Conservancy’s web site from August 3 till August 31. The successful images might be chosen by a panel of judges, together with one People’s Choice, and might be hung on the ARTery gallery in Milford, PA, in November. The ARTery is a cooperative owned and operated by profitable and rising artists and artisans from the Tri-State space. Photo contest judges are Jill Carletti, Nancy Kiesendahl Bloch, Marie Liu, and Mary Sue Sweeney Price.

Photographers are invited to submit not more than two images to the competition. Entrants should comply with the Official Rules and submit a $15 entry charge to be eligible; youth entries are free.
