The Horse Sport MD Bred to Event Classic returns to Loch Moy Farm this 12 months with a brand new characteristic for its oldest opponents: four-year-olds will soar a single steeplechase fence and five-year-olds two, integrated into the gallop part on the finish of cross nation through the Championship — a change organizers say displays the collection’ dedication to preserving the gallop as a core analysis instrument amid ongoing debate over the game’s path. The steeplechase obstacles will seem solely on the Four- and Five-Year-Old Championship programs, not on the qualifiers, giving judges Phyllis Dawson, Kim Severson, and Robin Walker an added dimension for assessing the Gallop Score.
