Minnesota Declares 2026-27 Schedule – University of Minnesota Athletics

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – The University of Minnesota swimming and diving program has introduced their full season schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season, together with 5 house contests on the Jean Ok. Freeman Aquatic Center.

“We are coming off a very nice summer as a team, and I’m looking forward to us carrying this momentum into our college season,” mentioned Director of Swimming and Diving, Kelly Kremer. “We are excited to be returning to the Dual Meet Tournament in Atlanta early season, and equally looking forward to our opportunities to compete against many of our Big Ten peers along the way. By February and March, we should be well prepared to compete at the Big Ten and NCAA Championships!” 

The Gopher ladies’s program will look to open up the 12 months at house with a twin towards the University of Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, October 10. The males’s program will make their season debut the next week because the Gophers make their return to The Dual Meet Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, starting on Friday, October 16.

The maroon and gold will take a someday pit cease in Vermillion, South Dakota for a tri-dual towards the University of South Dakota and the University of Nebraska on Friday, Oct. 23, earlier than the swimmers make their method to the United State Short Course World Championship Trials, lasting from Wednesday, Oct. 28 to Saturday, Oct. 31.

Swimmers may have one closing probability to qualify for nationals with the Women’s and Men’s Last Chance Meets, happening on Feb. 28 and Mar. 7 respectively. The NCAA Zone D Diving Championships are set to happen from Mar. 8 to Mar. 10, giving divers their very own alternative to qualify for nationals.

The University of Texas is ready to host the 2027 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas. The Women’s Championships are set to happen from Wednesday, Mar. 17 to Saturday, Mar. 20, whereas the Men’s Championships are set to happen from Wednesday, Mar. 24 to Saturday, Mar. 27.

The Gophers will shut out the 12 months with a particular LCM meet towards the Wisconsin Badgers at house within the Jean Ok. Freeman Aquatic Center on the weekend of Apr. 24.
