Poquoson Municipal Pool  Located at 16 Municipal Drive is a Seasonal Pool

The facility is open from Memorial Day Weekend in May via Labor Day Weekend in September.

The Poquoson Pool is closed for the season as of Labor Day.

The Pool is a 6 lane 200,000 gallon pool situated at 16 Municipal Drive in Poquoson Municipal Park.

Both Season Passes and Daily Admission can be found for buy throughout Open Swim Times.

August 2026 Pool Open Swim Calendar

The Poquoson Municipal Pool hosts a big youth swimming classes program every summer season in addition to it’s residence to the Poquoson Barracudas Swim Team.

Each Summer Season a wide range of American Red Swimming Lessons are supplied. Registration for the 2026 Season is full.

 Poquoson Pool provides swimming classes utilizing the American Red Cross Curriculum Levels 1-5 and preschool introduction programs. Registration for summer season swimming classes is in individual on the Parks and Recreation Building. Sessions run-in two-week increments.  More data 757-868-3580.

Poquoson Barracuda Summer Swim Team

The Poquoson Barracuda Swim Team is a program of our Parks and Recreation Department. Registration for the Swim Team begins every spring in Mid-April.  There is an annual spring assembly held to help with registration and season data. Swimmers wishing to hitch the Barracuda Swim Team needs to be ages 3-18 however should have a minimal swimming requirement of finishing a full 25 meters in an outlined freestyle stroke throughout the pool.  Each swimmer is evaluated previous to becoming a member of the group. The Season for the Barracudas Runs from Memorial Day by way of Early August.  The Team swims within the Red Division of the GPSA swim league right here on the Virginia Peninsula.
