2024 Olympian Josh Matheny Proclaims Departure from Indiana

2024 Olympian and up to date Pan Pacs silver medalist within the 200 Breast Josh Matheny has introduced he’s leaving Indiana University seeking a brand new coaching residence. In June, after having a tough first season as a professional swimmer and never performing how he’d hoped on the Pro Swim in Indianapolis, Matheny determined he wanted a change.

He requested USA Swimming National Team Director Greg Meehan if he may practice on the Olympic Training Center till Pan Pacs, to which Meehan agreed. After discussing this alteration with Indiana coach Ray Looze as nicely, Matheny spent his final 6 weeks of summer season making ready for Pan Pacs in Colorado Springs. In Irvine at Pan Pacs, Matheny neared his greatest time within the 100 breast, 59.2, making the ultimate and finally ending 4th, and set a PB within the 200 breast at 2:08.2, incomes silver.
