OMAHA, Neb. – The No. 15 Texas A&M volleyball team heads on the road for a top-20 matchup with No. 20 Creighton Sunday afternoon at Sokol Arena with a first serve set for 4 p.m.
The Aggies gear up for their seventh ranked fixture of the non-conference schedule, as they travel to Nebraska for the fifth all-time meeting with the Bluejays. A&M holds a 3-1 record against Creighton, with both teams defending home court. The Maroon & White are 2-0 in College Station and 1-0 in a neutral setting, while the bluejays are 1-0 in Omaha.
Creighton enters Sunday’s contest on a four-match slide, including dropping its second home game of the season Friday evening to Kansas State in four sets. The Aggies bounced back from a loss with a dominant sweep over SFA last time out. They outscored the Ladyjacks 75-44 over the three sets and hit over .300 percent as a unit for the third time this season.
Kirra Musgrove has continued to shine since taking the reins of the A&M offense. In the contest with SFA she recorded her fifth game of the year with 30-or-more assists, finishing the game with 35 and tacking on a career-high five blocks, four kills and two aces.
On the defensive side, Gabi Rodriguez recorded her eighth-straight game eclipsing 10-or-more digs versus SFA, finishing the contest with 17, her most in a three-set match. Eliza Sharp logged her sixth game of the year with a minimum of five stuffs late time out, the junior now sits just five blocks away from 200 in her career.
