Happy Feet Planet
Happy Feet Planet is an indoor amusement facility for children. They operate two venues in central NC targeted at children aged 10 and younger.
Apex: 3419 Apex Peakway and a newly opened site in Clayton: 231 Guy Road. Advance reservations are recommended due to significant demand. It’s also an excellent venue for organizing birthday celebrations.
Kidzone at NC Zoo
Exploring the North Carolina Zoo is consistently a delightful adventure for families, but there’s a distinct spot for them–the Kidzone which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Positioned near the North American Plaza, it serves as an excellent excuse to encourage outdoor play!
Per the Zoo’s website, the natural play zones in Kidzone feature: Fort Creation, where kids can construct forts in the forest behind the barn. This area is accessible seasonally, but there’s a stream where children can jump and splash about. Remember to bring your rain boots or water sandals! If your young one is still in diapers, swim diapers are necessary. Additionally, there’s a Treetop Trail meant for the entire family to enjoy. You might also want to visit the Mud Cafe to order a plate of crunchy blueberry pancakes for breakfast or grilled cheese and dirt for lunch. Don’t forget to give your chef a tip! Kids can also practice their aim in mud-slinging, utilizing a tub of gooey mud and a target to hit.
Click on Kidzone to discover more about all the outdoor excitement.
