Delta Donnie Mathis, a musical talent cherished by the Gulf Coast this year, was honored with induction into the International Rockabilly Hall of Fame on September 4, 2015, in Jackson, TN. Mathis views this as a significant privilege, stating that he now stands beside icons like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. After establishing a band that toured extensively across the South, Donnie opted to make the Alabama Gulf Coast his residence. However, following the release of two CDs, a devastating fire consumed his house, resulting in the loss of everything, including his music studio, which contained a third CD intended for release earlier this year. Mathis expresses how incredible the journey has been thanks to his supporters, his wife, and the blessings of the Lord. Audiences have been eagerly anticipating the launch of his first complete recording of original tracks and the opportunity to witness his live performance again. Part of that wait is finally nearing an end. Delta Donnie Mathis is set to perform live from 5 to 8 PM at Tacky Jacks in Fort Morgan. “It’s About Time” — he looks forward to your presence.
