DALLAS – A remarkable display on the court has earned senior forward Prencis Harden her second consecutive Conference USA Player of the Week honor, as announced by the league office on Monday.

The native of Swainsboro, Ga. amassed 48 points and 21 rebounds this week, including a career-best 26 points along with eight boards in Kennesaw State’s 65-62 comeback victory over Georgia State on Thursday. KSU rebounded from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to claim victory in back-to-back contests.

Harden commenced the week on Monday (Dec. 16) at Seattle with a 22-point performance and 13 rebounds, marking her third consecutive game with a double-double. She had a shooting percentage of 63.6% from the field during the two games.

No. 24 leads CUSA this season with double-doubles (5) and games with 10 or more rebounds (5). She received the same recognition last week after recording 14 points and 13 rebounds in a road game at Florida Atlantic, which also marked her surpassing 500 career rebounds.

Harden is the first athlete in program history to earn multiple CUSA weekly accolades. The senior is the first Owl to achieve back-to-back conference player of the week honors since Aareon Smith in January 2016. She is also the first to win weekly awards in consecutive weeks since Gillian Piccolino in February 2020.

This represents the third CUSA Player of the Week award for KSU women’s basketball, the highest number for any team this season. It is the Owls’ 25th Division I conference player of the week accolade and 61st Division I conference weekly honor. This achievement is the 11th individual award for KSU under head coach Octavia Blue.

The Owls will return to the KSU Convocation Center on Monday, Dec. 30 at 7:00 p.m. for their final non-conference match of the season against in-state adversary Mercer. It’s ‘Cram the Convo’ Night, and fans can take advantage of this special $1 ticket offer. KSU students are granted free admission to all home KSU women’s basketball games this season.
