Community briefs: Portola Valley enjoyable run, CERT coaching and golf match

Portola Valley Zott’s to Tot’s Fun Run

Portola Valley will likely be internet hosting its annual city picnic and Zott’s to Tot’s Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The run will begin at 10 a.m. and the picnic will start at 11 a.m.

The occasion will function a dunk tank, petting zoo, pony rides, face portray and bouncy homes. The Woodside Fire Protection District will even have one among its firetrucks on show and the native Cub Scouts will likely be internet hosting video games. An area band, “Up and To the Right,” will likely be performing tunes for the picnic.

Community Emergency Response Team Basic Training

The Woodside and Portola Valley Community Emergency Response Team will start its fundamental coaching programs on Sept. 15. Sessions will proceed by way of Oct. 27 and will likely be held each Monday night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. with one Saturday session on Oct. 25.

The coaching will educate native residents methods to assist themselves, their household, and neighborhood throughout emergencies. Sessions will cowl catastrophe preparedness, hearth security, search and rescue and medical operations.

2026 Founders Cup in Menlo Park

The 2026 Fortinet Founders Cup ran by the Ladies Professional Golf Association will likely be performed at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in Menlo Park from March 19 to March 22.

The Founders Cup is a ladies’s skilled golf match that celebrates the founders of LPGA, which was created 75 years in the past. The 2026 match would be the fifteenth version. There will likely be a complete of $3 million out there for contributors to win.
