Ex-traitor Linda says superstar ‘cannot be worse than me’

A former Traitors contestant stated she “couldn’t believe” the “cheeky” remark by a celeb who stated he feared his response to being chosen made him “worse than Linda”.

Linda Rands, from Hitchin in Hertfordshire, grew to become a much-loved character in series three of the hit BBC present for her “over the top” response that nearly gave her away as a traitor.

On Wednesday, a brand new superstar model noticed three well-known names chosen to secretly “kill off” the remaining solid – referred to as faithfuls – whereas remaining undetected.

“I didn’t think anybody could be worse than me, so I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Linda informed the BBC.

Linda shot to fame at the very beginning of series three, moments after she was secretly chosen to grow to be a traitor on the first spherical desk.

When host Claudia Winkleman stated “Traitors!”, Linda immediately lifted her head and nearly gave herself away.

“My thing was to go under the radar, and I think I’ve pole-vaulted over it,” stated comic Alan Carr, who was picked as a traitor alongside presenter Jonathan Ross and pop star Cat Burns on Wednesday’s opening episode.

Carr, from Northampton, spoke to the digital camera about what it was like making an attempt to behave usually within the fortress among the many group of faithfuls.

“I was just laughing, I’m like ‘I’m not a traitor’. But oh God. I’m worse than Linda. I am worse than Linda.”

He added: “I’m so excited to be working with Cat and Jonathan – but I’ve got a nervous disposition and this whole game plays on your nerves.”

Linda stated: “I couldn’t believe it, I thought, ‘Cheeky to say that about me!’

“I used to be fairly shocked by the truth that he introduced my title up – that he even knew who I used to be.”

She stated Carr’s behaviour “may go for or towards him”.

“He’s completely himself, I believe he is all the time like that.

“I think he has to be very careful, as I have the feeling he might make a slip up.

“On the opposite hand, he may be identical to me. I managed to get fairly far, as a result of most individuals didn’t imagine I used to be a traitor as a result of I used to be so excessive.”

Referring to her most classic moments in series three, Linda advised the collaborators to watch what they say.

“Don’t be over-the-top crying on the breakfast desk, or flip your head once they say the phrase ‘traitors!’,” she stated.
