BALTIMORE — Freshman Aidan O’Callaghan went from closing qualifier for the finals to champion within the one meter dive to steer the UMBC Swimming & Diving program on a succesful Day Two on the Thomas Murphy Invitational hosted by Loyola Maryland on Saturday. 

O’Callaghan was the ninth and closing qualifier for the finals with a rating of 205.85, however scored a 299.85 within the finals to take gold.
