Ladies’s Swim and Dive Concludes Two Days of Motion at No. 10 Northern Michigan

MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Thirteenth-ranked Wayne State University ladies’s swimming and diving staff was at No. 10 Northern Michigan on Friday and Saturday for its first twin meet of the 2025-26 season.  Friday’s motion, which was a skins meet for each squads, carried no staff scores earlier than the Warriors fell to the Wildcats on Saturday, 239-61.

“The trip to NMU was definitely a great learning experience for our Warriors,” stated head coach Sean Peters.  “For the women, we are definitely a young team with strong potential.  We definitely ran into a strong Wildcat team, as the score indicated, and our young squad definitely got to see how they fare against them, and while I see improvement, we still need to take that next step.”

For the skins meet on Friday, it began with a 100 IM and the highest 4 from every staff went right into a knockout 50 that was randomly drawn out of a hat.  The variety of opponents went from eight to 6 to 4 to 2 to 1 and a unique stoke was picked for every spherical together with 50 free, 50 breast, 50 again and 50 fly.

Next up on the schedule for Wayne State will probably be Oakland’s Golden Grizzly Invite on Wednesday-Saturday, Dec. 3-6 in Rochester on the OU Aquatic Center.  The Warriors and Grizzlies will probably be joined by Dartmouth and Grand Canyon.
