Mrs. Nellie Janette Saunders Call, age 81 of North Wilkesboro handed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Funeral companies will probably be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Tharpe officiating. Burial will probably be within the church cemetery. The household will obtain buddies from 11:00 AM till 12:30 PM previous to the service on the church. 

Nellie was born February 2, 1944, in Wilkes County to Earl and Eula Foster Saunders. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, the place she taught Pre-School Sunday School for over 58 years. Nellie cherished her household, church, and youngsters. She was a buddy to all she met. 

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in loss of life by her sister; Louise Barney, three brothers; Earl “Bill” Saunders, Paul Saunders, and Roy Saunders. 

She is survived by her husband; William “Willie” Commie Call of the house, two sons; Jeff Call (Sandra) of Wilkesboro, Steve Call (Rebecca) of Wilkesboro, two grandchildren; Ashely Call Brock (Bayley) of North Wilkesboro, Matthew Call of Wilkesboro, three great-grandchildren; Grayson Brock, Thomas Brock, Chase Brock, three sisters; Jane Tillman of Denver, NC, Rose Bennette of North Wilkesboro, Ina Poindexter of Elgin, SC, and one brother; John Saunders of North Wilkesboro. 

Flowers will probably be accepted, or memorials could also be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 2300 Edgewood Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
