LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams start the new year at home against Missouri on Friday, January 9 at Ralph Wright Natatorium.

Meet History
The Cardinal men are 7-1 all-time against the Tigers, while the women are undefeated with a 6-0 record. The teams last met on January 3, 2025, at Mizzou Aquatic Center in Colombia, Mo., where UofL swept Mizzou with the women winning 204-95 and the men coming out on top 193-107.

The Cards are competing for the first time since the Ohio State Invitational on November 18-21, 2025, where the men took second and the women placed third.

Both squads enter the competition with victories against McKendree and at the Mizzou Invitational, while falling to Purdue in their season opener, while the women added a win against Vanderbilt. The men’s 200 free relay team of Luke Nebrich, Darden Tate, Ethan Vance, and Francois Malherbe rank No. 4 in the country with a time of 1:15.64. Nebrich also holds the fifth fastest 50 free in the nation with a time of 18.75. Zara Zellen leads the women, ranking No. 16 nationally in the 50 breast with a time of 27.38.
