18-year-old charged in Oak Lawn video gaming machine burglaries: police

OAK LAWN, Ill. – An 18-year-old has been charged in connection to a sequence of burglaries focusing on video gaming terminals at Oak Forest companies, in keeping with the Oak Lawn Police Department.

What we all know:

On Jan. 8, police responded to a burglar alarm at La Cocina De Mana Restaurant round 5:30 a.m. According to police, about 8–10 offenders fled the scene in automobiles, and police chased them for some time, till the pursuit ended. Video gaming terminals contained in the enterprise gave the impression to be the goal of the incident, police stated, as money was taken and several other VGT machines have been broken.

On Feb. 5, police responded to a housebreaking at Hashtag 95 Restaurant. An investigation revealed that 4 suspects forcibly entered the enterprise round 5:20 a.m. and focused the VGT machines. More money was taken and extra VGT machines have been broken.

With the assistance of different regulation enforcement companies, Oak Lawn police opened an investigation into the incidents. 

On Feb. 27, police arrested Julez Johnson, 18, of Chicago, in reference to the investigations. Johnson has been charged with two felony counts of housebreaking in reference to Oak Lawn, whereas Worth Police have charged Johnson with two comparable burglaries.

The investigations stay ongoing, in keeping with police.
