‘I can’t no extra. I like you’: Crews seek for swimmer misplaced in Delaware River – NBC10 Philadelphia

A search was ongoing early Friday after a person was misplaced within the Delaware River in a single day after diving in for a nighttime swim with a good friend, police stated.

According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident occurred simply after midnight, as about 20 folks — on 4 separate boats — gathered close to the intersection of Linden and Delaware avenues in Northeast Philadelphia earlier than launching boats into the river.

All of the boaters, who he stated have been of their 20s and 30s, rode out into the river for a bit.
