AMES, Iowa – Iowa State swimming and diving head coach Matt Leach introduced the schedule for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday afternoon. Leach enters his third season as head coach of the Cyclones with longtime head diving coach Jeff Warrick and third-year assistant Morgan McGhee.
Iowa State is coming off a season wherein three swimmers certified for the National Invitational Championships (NIC) and three student-athletes earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors.
The Cyclones will host their annual Cardinal and Gold intrasquad preseason meet on September 18 to kick off motion in Beyer Pool. Iowa State’s first three competitions of the common season will happen on the street, touring to Nebraska on October 2 for the season opener. ISU will even compete on the Florida State Invite (October 9-10) and at Illinois (October 16-17) for a two-day twin in its first month.
In November, Iowa State hosts South Dakota for its first common season residence meet. The Cyclones will even journey to the east facet of the state for the Hawkeye Invite (November 18-21).
