Florence “Fireball Flo” Hackman, the Ohio resident who gained attention last year after she received shots for her birthday celebration, has recently turned 106 – and she continues to enjoy Fireball.

“Flo elevates our spirits and reminds us of the joy and excitement we can have later in life,” said Kristen Kelly, executive director of the Traditions of Deerfield senior living community in Loveland, Ohio, where Hackman resides, to Fox News Digital.

Hackman’s cheerful demeanor is “such an uplifting example to live by, and we cherish her for it,” Kelly remarked.

Born on December 16, 1918, “Fireball Flo” attributes her extended life to an optimistic outlook.

“I just aim to be kind to people and take one day at a time – that’s all,” Hackman expressed in a statement shared by Traditions of Deerfield.

“If you manage to get through that one day, then you can move on to the next one,” she added.

“So that’s what you must do – one day at a time – think about what I need to accomplish today. You must keep moving as long as possible.”

There may also be a hereditary aspect to her longevity: Her mother lived to be 104.

In a video shared on Hackman’s birthday, she is shown expressing gratitude to all who joined in her celebration and encouraging them to “have a lot of fun here.”

Her family “always had a great time, and I never grew out of that … So perhaps that’s why I’m here for so long,” she said with a laugh.

She wishes the Bengals, currently positioned at 6-8 and third in the AFC North, will return to the Super Bowl.

“I hope they make it to the Super Bowl, and we would certainly love that. That would be a significant achievement. And hopefully, they accomplish it while I’m still around,” Hackman said.
