Open Name: Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award 2026

HOTA, Home of Arts is proud to announce the return of the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award in 2026. As Queensland’s richest acquisitive photographic prize, the $25,000 award and exhibition platforms artists from throughout the nation working inside the broad discipline of latest images. 

Previous winners embrace Polly Borland, Merilyn Fairskye, Shaun Gladwell, Polixeni Papapetrou, Darren Sylvester and Justine Varga. 

We invite submissions reflecting the normal and expanded medium, together with photocollage, sculpture, projection, set up and cameraless images. 

This 12 months’s finalists shall be chosen by a panel of esteemed judges together with 2018 Award winner Tamara Dean, Director of UNSW Galleries José Da Silva and unbiased author and curator Mikala Tai. 

Entries are open to all Australian residents and everlasting residents aged 18 years or over on the time of entry.

Entry Fee 

To help participation, the entry charge has been lowered to $15 AUD.
