NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Peninsula Health District has issued a swimming advisory for Hilton Beach. Samples collected on July 7 by the Peninsula Health District confirmed that micro organism ranges within the water exceeded the state water high quality customary.

Health district workers routinely monitor leisure waters for micro organism through the summer time swimming season. Signs are posted on the seashores alerting the general public of advisories.
