“I started out in photography in high school. Over the years, I moved to Sioux Falls, and I started my business from scratch. I started working out of my home, building up my business. I started doing portrait photography, doing weddings, and that type of stuff. And now I pretty much do corporate work. I do product photography for companies,” stated Jeff.

“I really enjoy the complexity of capturing food. Food photography is a challenge, and I’ve done a few cookbooks for companies and menus for different companies over the years. That’s always a challenge working with food, to make it look appealing and real,” stated Jeff.

“Millions of photos. Because he can go to a grandson’s, granddaughter’s baseball game, and he can come with three thousand photos just from a ballgame. And then he winds them down to maybe eighty, ninety photos. So over the years, just one game is three thousand photos. You hear his camera go click, click, click, click,” stated his spouse, Jeanne.

“For years, people have said, ‘Oh, you must have a really good camera.’ And I always tell people it’s nothing about your camera. It is lighting. Lighting is everything,” stated Jeff.

“The Pigskin Preview is fun because the student-athletes are so excited that they get to be included in the Pigskin Preview and be recognized for all the hard work they’ve put in over the years. It’s fun to be a small part. To capture that cover image,” stated Jeff.

And he plans to maintain on taking photos for a few years to come back.

“I haven’t worked in forty years. I’ve been so blessed to do what I love. To do so as long as I’m physically able to do it. I tell my kids and my wife that I’ve got another twenty years in me,” stated Jeff.

“He loves doing it, so he’ll do it as long as he can possibly do it,” stated Jeanne.
