Pearl Jam’s Early Years Documented in ‘Forever Now’ Images Guide

As Pearl Jam advanced from a small group of mates in Seattle to one of the vital impactful bands of their technology, founding member and bassist Jeff Ament started photographing their time backstage, within the studio, and on the street.

Ament revisited his archive of decomposing negatives together with his brother, designer Barry Ament, a number of years in the past. The rediscovery of those treasured pictures led to their new e-book, Since Forever, a visible journey capturing the band’s friendship and creativity as they rose to fame. A press launch notes that the gathering attracts largely from beforehand unreleased pictures and options “candid moments of creativity, camaraderie, and the enduring relationships that helped sustain the band” all through the many years.

“If there was a goal, it was mostly to save the failing 30 year old negatives. It was Barry’s idea to make a book,” Ament stated in a press release. “Ninety percent of these photos have never been seen before,” he added. ”Anybody who’s a PJ fan or a fan of what was happening within the 90s will dig it.”

“Historically, my family will often get together by creating some kind of project or job,” Ament stated. “And in some ways, putting together this book was a job for Barry and me – a reason to hang out. Most of these photos are from 1990 to 1998. He was there for a lot of it. If he wasn’t, he was next door or a phone call away.”

Since Forever is ready to hit stands on Sept. 25, 2026. Jeff and Barry Ament are scheduled to kick off a e-book tour on Sept. 25 and 27 at Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California.
