Swimming has reopened at Gifford Pinchot State Park in northern York County after water high quality exams confirmed acceptable ranges, the park introduced.

The park banned swimming on Tuesday, June 30 after water high quality exams confirmed “an elevated fecal coliform count.”

Water high quality exams taken on Wednesday, July 1, confirmed micro organism counts “well below the acceptable threshold,” the park mentioned in a Facebook put up. The state Department of Health permitted the reopening of the seaside on the Quaker Race Day Use Area.
