Eight Swimmers/Divers Earn CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America Awards

RICHMOND, Va.–A day after asserting the Scholar All-America Teams, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) launched their Individual Scholar All-America First and Second Teams on Thursday. Seven Rainbow Wahine and one Rainbow Warrior earned the tutorial accolade offered by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps for the 2025-26 season.
  
Two Rainbow Wahine—diver Lovisa Gustavsson and sprinter Holly Nelson—earned First Team honors. Gustavsson, a sophomore economics main, competed within the 3-Meter Dive on the NCAA Championships after incomes bronze with a cumulative rating of 606.10 on the NCAA Zone E meet. Gustavsson positioned twenty sixth within the prelims with a rating of 290.40.

Nelson, who earned her diploma in psychology this previous May, capped her stellar UH profession by successful the 50 Free, 100 Free, and 200 Free Relay on the 2026 Big West Championships. She punched her ticket to the NCAA Championship within the 50 Free with an automated qualifying time of twenty-two.28—the second quickest time in UH historical past. Nelson received her warmth with a time of twenty-two.38, however didn’t advance to the finals, ending in a tie for forty first place. Keira Chandler, a freshman diver majoring in psychology; Avery Coates, a sophomore diver majoring in microbiology; Macie Wheeler, a sophomore diver majoring in interdisciplinary research; Carlotta Ingernerf, a freshman majoring in enterprise; and Ruby Pickron, a junior diver majoring in particular training, have been all named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America second group. Freshman diver Oliver Wignall was the lone Rainbow Warrior to be named a CSCAA Scholar All-America. Wignall, a physics main, earned Second Team honors.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes should have earned a GPA of three.5 or greater and took part of their nationwide championship.

 

Second-Team choices should even have earned a 3.5 GPA or greater and met an NIC “A” time normal in Division I, an NCAA “B” qualifying normal for the nationwide championship, or certified for a diving zone qualification meet for Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
