The July exhibit at Dover Public Library highlights almost 50 years of pictures by the retired native artist and former Mitchell Studio proprietor
Dover Public Library will showcase the pictures of Terry Barnhill in its artwork gallery in July.
With a profession spanning almost 50 years and greater than 40 nationwide awards, Barnhill’s exhibit, Stop, Look, See and Enjoy, showcases the craftsmanship of the native artist in a show of the fantastic thing about nature.
Barnhill grew to become a licensed skilled photographer in 1986, 5 years after he and his spouse, Patti, bought Mitchell Studio, the place he photographed native athletes, kids, households and weddings till his retirement in 2017.
When requested about his photographic type, Barnhill stated, “I would characterize my style as ‘minimalist,’ looking for simple compositions with great lighting and uncluttered backgrounds. I meticulously plan my images from concept to final print.”
The library encourages guests to beat the warmth by having fun with the show. Dover Public Library is at 525 N. Walnut St. in Dover. For data, name 330-343-6123 or go to doverlibrary.org.
