Fun dialogue with some CRO friends this week facilitated by our buddy Atul at Hyperbound. We talked about one of many hardest jobs in a income org, the frontline supervisor, and the way it’s evolving.
Despite the variations in our groups and businessss, Paula Hansen at Docusign Josh Kanagy at Hightouch and I are seeing the same evolution:
– The common FLM solely delivers 15 min per week of teaching per rep and has infinite calls for on their time
– The majority of managers assume they ship prime quality teaching, and nearly all of reps assume they get no teaching 😬
– High high quality, human teaching issues greater than ever. Deal inspection isn’t sufficient, particularly in a world overloaded with slop knowledge
– The FLM position takes actual dedication and ability, and the bar is larger than ever.
I’m so grateful to have some unbelievable managers on our staff at Vanta. Many stand out as true skills.
Just a number of which have impressed me this 12 months (and a few are first time managers, and a few have just lately moved into second line!), a non-exhaustive checklist to be clear 🙂 We now have some ~80+ managers in our enterprise!
