Mr. and Mrs. Francis Charles Scannell

St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, East Falls, Pa., was the setting June 20, 2026, for the marriage of Mariana Josephine Leo and Francis Charles Scannell, each of Philadelphia. The bride is the daughter of Mario and Lisa Leo, Dunmore. The bridegroom is the son of Francis and Tricia Scannell, Southampton, Pa.

Monsignor James Oliver officiated on the 11 a.m. ceremony.

Olivia Leo, Dunmore, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids had been Megan Scannell, Southampton, sister of the bridegroom; Kaley Chulvick, Dunmore, cousin of the bride; and Adela Linic, Ann Arbor, Mich., cousin of the bridegroom. Claire Kuchak, Moosic, cousin of the bride; and Poppy Lutz and Willow Lutz, each of Philadelphia, cousins of the bridegroom, had been flower ladies.

Ryan Scannell, Southampton, brother of the bridegroom, was finest man. Ushers had been Edin Linic, Ann Arbor, Mich., cousin of the bridegroom; Dylan Baker, Philadelphia; Daniel Schulke, Philadelphia; Anthony DiDonato, Delco, Pa.; Rory Lutz and Gus Lutz, each of Philadelphia, cousins of the bridegroom.

A reception was held at In Riva, East Falls.

The bride is a graduate of Dunmore High School and magna cum laude graduate of West Chester University with a bachelor’s diploma in communications and media. She is a center college instructor at St. Phillip Neri, Lafayette Hill, Pa.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Counsel Rock South High School and West Chester University, the place he obtained a bachelor’s diploma in advertising. He is an HVAC technician at Gen 3, Philadelphia.

The couple met at West Chester University.

The couple, who took a marriage journey to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla., resides in Philadelphia.
