About the Collection
The Lloyd E. Moore (1931–2010) digital assortment options the images of Moore, a southeast Ohio photographer and lawyer who lived in Ironton for over thirty years earlier than retiring to Athens. The bodily assortment contains greater than 14,000 slides and over 3,500 negatives photographed by Moore from the early Nineteen Fifties to 2003. Content within the digital assortment contains photographs taken by Moore as a United States Marine throughout the Korean War, alternatives from his summary and vernacular images, and examples from what Moore known as “ego” photographs, which concerned Moore holding a digital camera at arm’s size and photographing himself with others or objects (pre-cell cellphone “selfies”).
