POINT LOOKOUT, Nassau County (WABC) — Officials at a Long Island seashore are on excessive alert after lifeguards noticed a 9-foot shark within the water.

Point Lookout and neighboring Hempstead seashores have been pink flagged for swimming on Thursday following the sighting.

Two teenagers who have been out browsing at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday mentioned they noticed it up shut.
