Nanooks Swimming Publicizes 2026-27 Schedule

FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Nanooks swimming workforce has introduced its upcoming schedule for the 2026-27 season. The ‘Nooks will host 4 twin meets on the Patty Center Pool and journey to the University of Puget Sound in November for the Logger Invitational.

“Our 2026-2027 swimming schedule is designed to provide our student-athletes with a balanced progression of competition throughout the season,” stated head coach Riley Ceglowski. “beginning with the intrasquad meet and transitioning into dual meets, invitationals and conference competition, culminating with the NCAA Championships for qualifying athletes.”

The Nanooks start the 12 months with their annual Blue/Gold Intrasquad meet on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at 5 p.m. on the Patty Center Pool. The following morning, they are going to welcome again former ‘Nooks for an Alumni Meet at 10 a.m. Alaska will start its common season with a meet at Biola University on Oct. 9, earlier than touring to the University of Redlands on Oct. 10 for the Bulldog Pentathlon. 

The Blue and Gold holds its common season home-opener the next week on Oct. 16-17 with a pair of PCSC twin meets vs. Azusa Pacific on the Patty Center Pool. APU is coming off a fourth-place end on the PCSC Championships final season and returns to Fairbanks for the primary time because the 2023-24 season. The ‘Nooks then hit the highway for a tri-meet vs. Seattle University and Pacific University at Seattle U on Nov. 7. Alaska will finish 2026 in Tacoma, Wash., for the Logger Invitational, hosted by the University of Puget Sound. The three-day meet will probably be held on the Wallace Pool and run from Nov. 20-22.

As the calendar flips to 2027, the ‘Nooks hit the highway as soon as once more, starting the brand new 12 months in San Diego for a meet at San Diego State on Jan. 4. They head again as much as Puget Sound for a meet that includes UPS, Southwest Oregon Community College and the College of Idaho on Jan. 9. Alaska concludes its common season at house, welcoming Westmont College to the Patty Center Pool for 2 extra convention twin meets on Jan. 15 and 16.

The Nanooks then flip their consideration to the PCSC Championships at ELAC Swim Stadium in Monterey Park, Calif. The four-day championship meet will run from Feb. 10-13, because the ‘Nooks look to proceed to carry out strongly after their fifth-place end in final 12 months’s convention championships. Following the PCSC Championships, Alaska will wait to see if they are going to be making the journey to Indianapolis, Ind., for the NCAA Championships, held on the IU Natatorium on March 9-13.

“Our expectations extend beyond times, finishes and team scores,” added Ceglowski. “Throughout the season, we aim to continue developing a competitive, disciplined and team-first culture, improve individual and relay performances throughout the season, build depth across all strokes and events, compete successfully against conference and regional opponents, position athletes to qualify for the PCSC Championship finals and earn NCAA Championship qualifying standards and represent the University of Alaska Fairbanks with professionalism, sportsmanship and academic excellence.”
