KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Center for Photography at Woodstock will host an exhibition that includes the works of 16 artists from the Women Photographers Collective of the Mid-Hudson Valley, the middle introduced.
The exhibition opens Saturday, May 30, on the middle, 25 Dederick St., and will likely be on view by Sunday, July 5. An opening reception will happen May 30 from 5 to eight p.m. Gallery hours are Thursdays by Sundays from 11 a.m. to five p.m.
Titled “Gestures of Care, Resilience, and Connection,” the exhibition “reflects an ongoing commitment to shared dialogue, support, and creative exchange,” organizers mentioned in a press launch.
“At a time when many feel unsafe, unseen, or divided, this exhibition gathers photographs that turn our attention toward what holds us together,” the discharge added. “Across intimate moments, lived environments, and collective actions, these works suggest that community is not a fixed entity but an ongoing practice — formed through gestures of care, sustained through resilience, and activated through connection.”
Artists featured within the exhibition embrace Joan Barker, Ana Bergen, Shari Diamond, Jill Enfield, Judit German-Heins, Karen Ghostlaw, Lori Grinker, and Morgan Gwenwald. Also featured are Maria Fernanda Hubeaut, Kay Kenny, Dana Matthews, Meryl Meisler, Adina Scherer, Carla Shapiro, Kate Warren, and Ruth Wetzel. The exhibition is curated by Shari Diamond.
