District Attorney Larry Krasner Awards $500,000 in Violence Prevention Microgrants to 46 Native Non-Revenue Teams Centered on Summer Camps, Cycling, Swimming & Athletic Programs

PHILADELPHIA (May 12, 2026) — As we strategy {the summertime}, we acknowledge the significance of supporting protected areas inside our group so our younger individuals have locations to thrive. Today on Tuesday, May 12, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and members of the DAO’s External Engagement and Government Affairs Division introduced the awarding of $500,000 in violence prevention microgrants to 46 community-based 501(c)(3) organizations. Since the DAO’s Violence Prevention Grant Initiative launched in May 2021, this system has awarded over $7.5 million in microgrant awards.

The DAO awarded these native teams for the Summer Camp, Cycling, Swimming & Athletic programming they supply to communities throughout Philadelphia. This work consists of offering alternatives and programming for our metropolis’s youth, which we all know is essential. The awardees are as follows:

• Building Our Lives Together (BOLT) Philly is awarded $20,000.
• Camp Jamison Corporation is awarded $10,000.
• Camp Sojourner is awarded $5,000.
• Christian Outreach and Fellowship Association Christian Sports is awarded $5,000.
• Clothed N Strength Inc  is awarded $5,000.
• Diamond Beauty Academy is awarded $20,000.
• Discovery Pathways is awarded $5,000.
• Fab Youth Philadelphia is awarded $10,000.
• FamFrequency Productions Inc is awarded $10,000.
• Financial Scholars Inc is awarded $5,000.
• Food Beatz is awarded $10,000.
• KB Foundation is awarded $20,000.
• La Liga Del Barrio is awarded $10,000.
• La Puerta Abierta, Inc.  is awarded $5,000.
• Masjid Ar Rahman is awarded $5,000.
• Men Who Care of Germantown Inc. is awarded $20,000.
• Mentors Leaders Produce Mentor Leaders is awarded $10,000.
• Mothers On A Mission is awarded $5,000.
• ODUNDE, Inc. is awarded $20,000.
• Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Association for Nonviolence, Inc. is awarded $10,000.
• Philly I AM is awarded $5,000.
• Philly Truce Foundation is awarded $10,000.
• P Michael Boone Foundation is awarded $20,000.
• Queen Village Neighbors Association is awarded $10,000.
• Rebel Arts Movement is awarded $10,000.
• Rising Hope for Change Inc (RHFC) is awarded $10,000.
• Ron Da Barber Inc  is awarded $10,000.
• Sankofa Healing Studio  is awarded $20,000.
• ShadowTrax Media Arts is awarded $5,000.
• Shoot Basketballs NOT People is awarded $10,000.
• Team Inc is awarded $20,000.
• The Adderley Foundation is awarded $5,000.
• The Apologues  is awarded $10,000.
• The Common Place is awarded $10,000.
• The Murals of the Mind Project is awarded $5,000.
• The Simple Way is awarded $5,000.
• The Urban Art Gallery is awarded $10,000.
• Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Inc. is awarded $10,000.
• Voices by Choices is awarded $20,000.
• West African Community Center (WAFCOM) Inc is awarded $10,000.
• Young Chances Foundation is awarded $10,000.

“Programs like these are part of the solution to saving the lives of our city’s youth and improving public safety in the long-term,” stated District Attorney Larry Krasner. “When you give young people options, they choose the right path. Congratulations to the community-based organizations awarded in this round of violence prevention microgrants. This is a clear example of how the right programs improve communities and lower crime.”
