Sault Historic Sites and Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours are teaming as much as host the Fifth Annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, May 31. 

The day-long actions are open to all Eastern Upper Peninsula residents in change for a financial donation at every collaborating website. This 12 months, donations will profit the “I AM THE STORM” Mackenzie (Kalchik) Paul Memorial Scholarship on the Chippewa County Community Foundation.

“We are honored to co-host the fifth annual Family Fun Day that brings our community together in support of a meaningful cause,” stated Lacie Wojnaroski, government director of Sault Historic Sites, within the occasion announcement. “EUP residents can enjoy free admission to all of our attractions with a donation to Mackenzie’s Memorial Scholarship established in honor of a beloved young member of our community whose strength and spirit touched so many. This event is an opportunity to come together, explore our area and support a legacy that will continue to make a difference.”

The Museum Ship Valley Camp, Tower of History and River of History Museum are included within the day’s enjoyable. Residents also can get pleasure from a trip with Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours

“We welcome families to take advantage of this unique opportunity on Sunday, May 31, to explore the rich history of our area at the Tower of History and Museum Ship Valley Camp at Sault Historic Sites, experience a Famous Soo Locks Classic Lock Tour, and enjoy Mackenzie’s beautiful artwork on display and available for purchase in the Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours lobby while supporting a meaningful cause in our local community,” stated Scott LaBonte, basic supervisor of Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours, in an announcement. 

Museum Ship Valley Camp, Tower of History and River of History Museum are open 10 a.m. to five p.m. Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours opens at 9 a.m. and excursions depart at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and three p.m.
