Mass. photographer stabbed in ‘unprovoked assault’ at Maine wedding ceremony

A marriage photographer from Mendon was stabbed throughout a reception in Maine over the previous weekend, authorities stated. 

Donald Halsing, 26, was at Kingsley Camp Ground in Raymond, Maine, round 7 p.m. Saturday when he was stabbed within the chest in an “unprovoked attack,” in keeping with an announcement from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. 

Halsing was taken to Maine Medical Center to be handled for critical, although not life-threatening, accidents, officers stated. 

He suffered two lacerations, together with one to his liver, and underwent emergency surgical procedure, in keeping with a GoFundMe established for Halsing. 

“He is expected to have a long road to recovery,” the marketing campaign description states. “He is looking forward to putting this nightmare behind him.” 

Following witness interviews, police arrested 26-year-old Andrew Manderson, who was charged with elevated aggravated assault. He is being held within the Cumberland County Jail, in keeping with the sheriff’s workplace. 

Manderson was a marriage visitor, in keeping with the GoFundMe.

The sheriff’s workplace famous there isn’t any ongoing risk to the general public.
