Two minors flown after swimming incident at Mattheissen State Park – Shaw Native

Two boys, 11 and 12, have been flown from Matthiessen State Park on Friday afternoon after a swimming incident at Cascade Falls Lower Dells.

The boys, together with different youngsters on a discipline journey, have been “rough-housing and engaging in horseplay” within the water when the incident occurred, Illinois Conservation Police Sergeant Phil Wire stated.
