Fun Run unites 450 college students, raises $31,500 in Marblehead

MARBLEHEAD — An approximate 450 Brown School college students, from pre-Okay to 3rd grade in Marblehead, wearing a rainbow of colours and raised greater than $31,500 through the faculty neighborhood’s tenth Annual Fun Run.

Touting crew colours and sporting tie-dye shirts, college students celebrated health and college spirit. Principal Mary Maxfield, accompanied by faculty mascot Hoppy the Frog, warmed up college students.

“We are amazed by the incredible support that you and your families have given to the Fun Run and our school community. Together, our school community has raised more than $31,500,” Maxfield mentioned. “You collected donations from 22 different states and countries across the world, including from our Canadian neighbors and countries as far as Uruguay. The love for our school community is worldwide.”

Donations shall be used to fund the Brown School PTO. Funds raised enrich the coed expertise by supporting the outside backyard instructing packages, kids’s guide creator visits, in addition to occasions like S.T.E.A.M. Fair, Book Fair, Monster Mash, and Holiday Shop. The PTO additionally funds and organizes instructor appreciation efforts.
